Road Reopens After Large Sinkhole In West Haven: Police

UPDATE: Spring Street has reopened, according to police.

(Original post) WEST HAVEN, CT — Police are advising motorists that Spring Street between Front Avenue and Ella T. Grasso Boulevard is closed due to a large sinkhole.

“Crews are on scene to evaluate the hazardous condition,” police wrote in a post on Facebook. “Please avoid this area and search for alternate routes until the street is reopened.”
