Longtime West Haven Police K-9 Ike To Retire
K-9 Ike assisted in more than 1,700 investigations that led to many arrests, according to police.
WEST HAVEN, CT — Longtime West Haven Police K-9 Ike will be retiring this weekend, according to police.
“Sergeant Scott Bloom will be retiring his partner K9 Ike this weekend,” police wrote in a post on Facebook. “Ike graduated from the Connecticut State Police Patrol and Narcotic K9 Program in 2013. During his years of service Ike was assigned to the midnight and evening shift. Ike assisted in over 1,700 investigations which many of resulted in arrests. Ike will now retire to Sergeant Bloom’s home and family where we hope he has a long, happy and healthy retirement!!
