WEST HAVEN, CT — Longtime West Haven State Rep. Charles Ferraro announced this week that he won’t seek re-election to a sixth term in the 117th District, which also includes parts of Milford and Orange.

Ferraro, a Republican, has represented the 117th District for the past 10 years.

“It has truly been a blessing to serve as State Representative for the great people of West Haven, Orange, and Milford,” Ferraro said in a statement posted on Facebook. “Our communities are so beautiful, engaged, diverse, and vibrant – and with your ongoing support, I have been blessed to represent each of you that make up the 117th District. Our service together has enriched me for a lifetime and through our accomplishments, challenges, and experiences, I am better today than when I began this journey in 2014.
