Man Arrested On Drug, Gun Charges: West Haven Police
Police said the suspect had a Glock 19 with an extended magazine "in plain view" in his vehicle, along with numerous bags of various drugs.
WEST HAVEN, CT — A man was recently arrested on drug and gun charges, according to police.
Police responded to a home on Lamson Street on Feb. 18 on the report of a vandalism complaint, according to officials.
Arriving officers found the suspect, who was identified as Diego Garro, sitting inside his vehicle, according to police.

Police said officers saw a Glock 19 with an extended magazine “in plain view,” along with numerous bags of various narcotics.
Garro was secured in handcuffs after a brief struggle and arrested, according to police.

Garro was charged with interfering with an officer, two counts of second-degree reckless endangerment, three counts of possession of a controlled substance, two counts of possession with intent to sell narcotics, weapon in a motor vehicle, illegal possession of a high-capacity magazine, possession with intent to sell marijuana and several motor vehicle offenses. He was released after posting a $200,000 bond with a court date of March 14, according to state judicial records.
