Man Assaults Police Officers After Hiding In Closet: West Haven PD
Police went to the man's home to serve him with an arrest warrant.

WEST HAVEN, CT — A West Haven man is accused of assaulting police officers who were attempting to serve him with an arrest warrant at his home on Monday night.
Officers responded to a Campbell Avenue residence to serve a felony arrest warrant on Moises Betancourt, according to police.
Police found Betancourt hiding in a closet and say he charged at and began assaulting officers when he was instructed to exit the closet.

Police subdued Betancourt and transported him to police headquarters where he again began fighting with officers, police said.
Betancourt, 40, was charged with violation of protection order, criminal mischief, interfering with police and several counts of assault on police. He was held on a $150,000 bond.
