Man Charged In Shooting In West Haven: Police
The man is accused of firing several shots outside a home in West Haven, according to police.
WEST HAVEN, CT — A man was arrested in connection with a shooting early Saturday morning in West Haven, according to police.
Police said a resident in the area of Third Avenue called 911 around 1 a.m. on Jan. 20 to report shots fired.
The caller reported seeing a man, later identified as 33-year-old Robert McCray, firing a handgun multiple times outside and then going back into a home, according to police.

Police said officers quickly arrived and surrounded the home.
“Ultimately all occupants of the residence were ordered outside and no victims were located,” police wrote in a post on Facebook. “However, while ordering the occupants out; multiple shell casings and bullet holes were observed. The crime scene was secured and members of our Detective Division arrived soon after to continue the investigation.”

McCray was arrested on charges of unlawful discharge of a firearm, criminal possession of a firearm, reckless endangerment, violation of a protective order, and “numerous other offenses related to this incident,” according to police.
