Men Charged with Armed Robbery Outside of Diner: West Haven Police
The suspects robbed a man at gunpoint before fleeing in a stolen SUV and were caught after crashing into a New Haven police cruiser BREAKING
WEST HAVEN, CT — Three people were arrested in connection to the armed robbery of a man outside of the Duchess Diner late Monday night, according to West Haven Police.
Police responded to the Duchess Diner at about 11:10 p.m. on Monday and the victim said he was walking on York Street by the diner when a dark color Range Rover pulled alongside him.
Two men displaying handguns exited the vehicle and took the victim’s cell phone and wallet. The vehicle, which police said had been stolen, then fled on York Street.

West Haven Police observed the vehicle a short time later at Valero Gas Station and pursued but lost sight of it near the Orange Line, police said in a press release.
New Haven Police later discovered the vehicle and in attempts to elude police the vehicle crashed into a New Haven police cruiser.

All of the suspects fled but were located a short time later and apprehended, according to police.
West Haven Police Detectives reviewed video at Valero’s and were able to lift a fingerprint from one of the suspects, according to police.
Police said the victim’s credit card was also used and the suspect produced ID to purchase cigarettes. This print was matched to one of the suspects.
Two men and one juvenile were arrested.
Kenzell Goodman, 21, of Butler Street in New Haven, and Brandon Walker, 20, of Winchester Avenue in New Haven, were both charged with robbery, larceny, and interfering with police. They were both held on $100,000 bond.
The juvenile wasn’t identified due to his age.
