National Nursing Home Week Declared In West Haven
The West Haven Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation is sponsoring activities in observance of the week. Residents are invited to visit.

WEST HAVEN, CT — (Pictured): Mayor Nancy R. Rossi, center, presents a proclamation with City Clerk Patricia C. Horvath, center left, to staff members and residents of West Haven Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation declaring National Nursing Home Week in West Haven on Monday.
“Nursing home care is an integral part of America’s health care system,” said Rossi, reading the proclamation to a group of residents and staffers. “Nursing homes offer supportive services that meet the unique personal needs of our older residents and advance a mission of responsibility for them — a responsibility we all share — by helping them to live well and to age well.”
The nursing and rehab center is sponsoring activities in observance of the special week, guided by this year’s theme, “Cultivating Kindness,” and is inviting West Haven residents to visit the center at 310 Terrace Ave., off Campbell Avenue.
