Join us in learning about today's marijuana and about the harms for today's youth!
*NEW DATE*
Participants in this presentation will understand why today’s marijuana is different from the marijuana of yesterday and what current research tells about the harms for today’s youth. Participants will receive an overview of CT’s new, complex and 300-page adult-use, commercial marijuana law and some of the impacts on local communities. Finally, participants will engage in a discussion on implications for community response, including prevention and advocacy opportunities.
This will be presented by Melissa McGarry, a local Preventionist and Project Director of a local prevention coalition and John Daviau, Community Psychologist and Certified Dialogue Education Practitioner.
