New Starbucks Proposed For Former Restaurant Site In West Haven

The proposed Starbucks would feature a drive-thru and an outdoor patio, according to a report.

WEST HAVEN, CT — A new Starbucks featuring a drive-thru is being proposed at the former site of the Stewart’s All American Grill on Sawmill Road in West Haven, according to the New Haven Register.

The Register reports a developer has submitted plans to build a 2,500-square-foot Starbucks with a drive-thru and outdoor patio at 340 Sawmill Road, which is across from the parking lot of the current Starbucks that doesn’t have a drive-thru our outdoor patio space.

A public hearing on the application will be held during Tuesday’s Planning and Zoning Commission meeting, according to the Register.

Stewart’s opened with much fanfare in April 2018 in the former home of Friendly’s before abruptly closing in May 2019. It had been the first Stewart’s restaurant to open in Connecticut.
