‘Next Generation’ Dunkin’ Donuts Opens In West Haven
The state's third next generation Dunkin', and the first with "next gen" enhancements inside the store, celebrated its opening in West Haven

WEST HAVEN, CT — The state’s latest “next generation” Dunkin’ Donuts, and the first with inside “next gen” enhancements, has opened in West Haven. An official ribbon-cutting ceremony was celebrated at the Dunkin’ located at 985 Boston Post Road. Mayor Nancy R. Rossi (pictured with the ceremonial scissors) was accompanied by members of the West Haven High School Band, city officials and the owners of the Dunkin’ Donuts franchise.
The freshly remodeled Dunkin’ is the brand’s restaurant of the future and the third next-generation location in Connecticut, behind Simsbury and Wallingford. For the new prototype, known as Dunkin’ Next Generation, the Canton, Mass.-based doughnut and coffee chain has dropped “Donuts” from its signage.
The West Haven Dunkin’ is the state’s first location, however, to receive next-generation improvements inside as well as enhancements outside, including LED lighting, according to officials.
