Noted Teaching and Learning Expert Andrew Watson Presents "Translate the Brain" October 13 at 7 pm

Watson's Presentation "Translate the Brain" turns brain science into practical, useful tools for teachers, parents, and students.

West Haven – Notre Dame High School will host noted teaching and learning expert Andrew Watson for a series of presentations on translating the brain – noting how differently boys and girls can best be engaged to learn.

A Harvard alumnus, who has dedicated his life to make learning easier and teaching more effective, Watson uses humor and audience participation to make brain science and research compelling, lively, interactive, upbeat, fun, and thought-provoking and how it impacts classrooms, teachers, and students.

“This was the three I’s - informative, interesting, and imaginative...one of the best workshops I have sat through,” said a recent participant of Watson’s presentation.

Watson earned his bachelor’s degree as well as his masters in Mind Brain Education from Harvard University. His work with teachers, students, parents, administrators, trustees, and alumni includes more than 50 premiere schools and organizations across the country.

Notre Dame High School serves 600 students from 56 schools and 35 towns in Connecticut and actively explores contemporary trends in technology and education innovation, particularly in teaching young men.

Watson will present to area educators and guests at 7:00 pm in the Maureen and George Collins ‘58 Auditorium. This event is free and open to the entire community.
