Notre Dame West Haven Names Vice President for Finance and Operations

West Haven - Another young and successful alumnus has found his way home to Notre Dame as Mr. Christopher R. Olt ‘02 has joined the Notre Dame Administration as the school’s Vice President for Finance and Operations.

At Notre Dame, Olt will be responsible for ensuring the fiscal and operational effectiveness of the school, including managing all aspects of the School's Business Office, Plant, and Facilities.
“Notre Dame has always been a special place to me,” said Olt. “There are so many positive things to say about all that Notre Dame does for our students and what we stand for academically, socially, and morally. I am really excited to join the administration at this point in our history. Having recently completed our strategic plan, we are setting our sights on big things in the coming years.”

“We are excited Chris has joined our Administrative Team in his role with our finance and operations office. He brings a lot of experience to this position working with a number of higher education and not-for-profit institutions that will provide dividends right away as well as in the future,” said President Robert F. Curis.
Olt, who had stayed connected to Notre Dame by serving on the Board of Directors and volunteering as a mentor in the Hillhouse Scholars Program, joined Notre Dame after a successful 10-year career as a senior audit manager with KPMG, LLC in Hartford, one of the world's largest professional services firms. Olt worked extensively with clients within KPMG’s Higher Education, Research, and other non-profit (HERON) practice. His clients included Connecticut College, the University of New Haven, the Archdiocese of Hartford, Yale-New Haven Health, and Wesleyan University.

A Certified Public Accountant, Olt received both his Bachelor and Masters Degrees in Accounting from the University of Connecticut. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and Connecticut Society of CPAs (CTCPA).

While at Notre Dame, Olt was an exceptional student achieving National and Spanish Honor Society status. To show you how respected he was by the faculty, they voted him the school’s highest honor, the Code Award at Graduation. In addition to being a two-sport athlete, where he served as captain of the swim team and played on the tennis team, he was also selected to be a senior peer counselor. He was President of CAAP (Changing Attitudes About People), co-President of KNADA, and served on the Yearbook Committee during his time as a student.

A Branford resident, Chris, and his wife Megan, have two children: Shawn and Corey.
