Obituary: Anne Proto DeFrank, 92, Of West Haven

WEST HAVEN, CT — (From Porto Funeral Home): Anne Proto DeFrank, 92, of West Haven, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2023. She was born to the late Pasquale and Carmela DiLieto Proto. She was predeceased by her husband, John DeFrank who she was married to for 42 years.

Anne is survived by her 5 children and 2 step children. Greg (Elaine) Mitchell of Clinton, Wayne (Kim) Mitchell of Milford, Dennis Mitchell of Chino Valley, AZ, Sheryl Phillips of Hamden, Gail Esposito of West Haven and the late Brenda Esposito of Hamden, Elaine (Alan) Pace of Kissimmee, FL, John (Susan) DeFrank of Guilford. Also survived by 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, a great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sisters Mary Barletta, Rose DePascale, Trixie Fornal, Jennie Tammaro and brothers Matthew, Thomas, Albert and Anthony Proto.

She loved baking, cooking, gardening, traveling, movies and going to the casino and spending time with her grandchildren.
