Obituary: Anthony Malangone, 46, of West Haven

WEST HAVEN, CT - (From West Haven Funeral Home) Anthony Malangone, age 46 of West Haven, passed away unexpectedly on August 14, 2021. He was the loving husband of Carrie Ann Russo Malangone, and the proud father of Joseph, Torianna, and the late Victoria Malangone. In addition to his wife and children, Anthony is survived by his mother Caterina Maiese Malangone, his sisters Angela (Paul) Marino and Palma (Sal) Carbone, and his nieces Alyssa & Gia, and nephew Guiseppe. He was predeceased by his father, Guiseppe Malangone.

Anthony worked as a self-employed plumber for many years. He was a huge NY Yankees fan, and enjoyed collecting comics and baseball cards. His proudest moments were when his beloved children were born. He loved to watch his son play baseball. He loved to attend his daughter’s recitals and competitions for dance, cheer, and gymnastics. Anthony was very supportive and proud of Carrie, and all the charitable work she did with the Girl Scouts, West Haven Rotary, and the city of West Haven. Anthony loved working in the yard, and had fun traveling with his wife and kids. He will be greatly missed.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, August 19, from 4 – 8 p.m. at West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. Anthony’s funeral procession will leave the funeral home on Friday at 9 a.m., to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anthony’s Church, New Haven at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. MASKS ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL SERVICES. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Joseph & Torianna Malangone.
