Obituary: Barbara J. Mayberry, 56, Of West Haven

WEST HAVEN, CT — (From West Haven Funeral Home): Barbara J. Mayberry, 56, of West Haven, died on July 27, 2023, surrounded by her family. Born in New Haven on December 15, 1966, a daughter of Robert and Toni (Rubino) Lamparski.

In addition to her parents, Barbara is survived by her loving son Joseph (Skyla McNamara) Mayberry; sister Karen Manes; brothers Michael Lamparski and Robert Lamparski Jr.; granddaughter Lilliana Sabo; dear friend Charles Mayberry; as well as many nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved son Raymond Mayberry Jr. and sister Robin (Lamparski) Marchese.

A lifelong Westie, Barbara graduated from West Haven High School, where she excelled on the softball team. Barb was a kind-hearted individual who took interest in helping those where and when she could, as evidenced by her early career as a Surgery Technician, then as a Crossing Guard later in life.

She enjoyed the simple things in life, including time spent with her family and walking along the beach with her dogs over the years. Barb will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 9, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at which time her memorial service will commence in the funeral parlor. Interment will remain private.
