Obituary: Bud Giaquinto, 88, Of West Haven

WEST HAVEN, CT — (From West Haven Funeral Home): Bud Giaquinto, 88, a lifelong resident of West Haven, entered into eternal rest on December 13, 2022. He was the husband of Liz Brennan Giaquinto. He was predeceased by his son Greg and his niece Robyn Rapuano.

Bud leaves behind 5 children Michael, Denise (Dave) Monroe, Joseph (Jeanie), Stacey (Jamie Antezzo) and Deborah; 8 grandchildren Heather (Jason), Lindsay (Brian), Tara (Mark), Jonathan (Brenna), Kyle, Gregory (Michelle), Matthew and Abigail; 9 great-grandchildren; his former wife Kathleen, daughter-in-law Linda and his sister "Elaine the pain" (Dave) Olson.

Bud had a successful 36-year career with SNET/AT&T retiring as district manager of the Yellow Pages. He was a life-long youth sports coach, was instrumental in starting the midget football program, served as a police commissioner, and on City Council, and was also Italian of the Year, all in West Haven.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Bud's grandson Matthew for honorably giving him the tender love and care he needed; to peacefully reside in his home surrounded by people he loved until gracefully passing into the next life.
