Obituary: Charles Andrew ‘Chuck’ Reynolds Jr., 81, Of West Haven

WEST HAVEN, CT — (From West Haven Funeral Home): Charles Andrew Reynolds, “Chuck”, 81, of West Haven, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2023. He was the beloved husband of the late Sandra Emma Reynolds for 59 years. Chuck was born on November 11th, 1941 in New Haven, to the late Charles and Muriel Reynolds.

Chuck was best known for his extreme generosity, high intelligence, strength, and thoughtfulness. He loved cooking and ordering take-out, having cocktails, giving others gifts, hosting big parties, playing poker, spending time on his boat in Old Saybrook, and most importantly, being surrounded by his family and friends.

He loved his family more than anything, especially his wife Sandy who he could not wait to be reunited with. Sandy was the love of his life and it showed. He catered to her every need, always making sure Sandy and her friends were well taken care of whether at home or at their condominium in Clearwater, Florida -actually, her “Condo Condo!”

Chuck’s other great loves were his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his four children and their spouses, Michael and Susan Reynolds of Guilford, Kelly and David Nowak of West Haven, Marc and Kim Reynolds of Oxford, and Stacy and Tony Sutton of Milford. He also leaves behind his nine cherished grandchildren: Jessica, Charlie, Julie, Taylor, Grace, Emma, Ryan, Samantha, and Madeline. Chuck is predeceased by his brother and his spouse, Danny and Marie Reynolds. He is survived by his loving nieces, Sharon Reynolds Day and Donna Reynolds.

Chuck was the center of his family and he will be deeply missed by all.
