Obituary: Charles M. Franke Sr., 90, of West Haven
Charles, a proud US Navy Veteran, was employed by the US Branch of SAAB-Scania, as well as Sikorsky Aircraft.
WEST HAVEN, CT - (From West Haven Funeral Home): Charles M. Franke Sr., 90, of West Haven, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2020, at his home. He was the son of the Albert William Franke and Jemima Franke (nee Mulholland).
He is survived by his loving son, Charles (Chuck) Franke, of West Haven, as well as sister-in-law Sheila Franke, nieces Trish Fountain, nephews Bud Franke and Joe Franke as well as many others.
Charles was a proud US Navy Veteran who was employed in several electrical assembly roles throughout his life, including at the US Branch of SAAB-Scania, as well as Sikorsky Aircraft.

Born on November 15th, 1929 in Queens, New York, his family soon moved to Connecticut where he became a lifetime West Haven resident. He was pre-deceased by his wife Janet Franke (nee Mix), sisters Helen and Lucille, and brothers Albert and Robert.
