WEST HAVEN, CT — Cindy Hotchkiss of West Walk in West Haven went home to the Lord on Monday, May 26, 2025. She is survived by her loving mother, Antoinette (“Toni”) Hotchkiss, and was predeceased by her father, Paul Hotchkiss.
Cindy is also survived by her devoted son, Thomas Turpin Jr. (Shannon), and her brothers, Paul “Cliff” Hotchkiss Jr. (Brenda) and Robert Hotchkiss (Laurie). She leaves behind her beloved companion of 16 years, Russ Aldrich.

Cindy was the proud and adoring grandmother of Ashlley, Tiffani, and Alison Turpin. She also leaves behind her cherished nieces—Stephanie, Amanda, and Morgan Hotchkiss—as well as countless friends and extended family members who were touched by her warmth, humor, and generous spirit.
Cindy was employed for 25 years at Assa Abloy in New Haven. After retiring, she continued serving her community as a crossing guard for the City of West Haven.

A passionate music lover and gifted singer, Cindy performed with several local bands, including Shore Line Gold, and shared her voice at numerous charity events throughout the years. Music was the rhythm of her life—and no artist captured her heart quite like Elvis Presley. A lifelong and devoted fan, Cindy took great joy in collecting Elvis memorabilia and records. His music brought her comfort, joy, and a sense of connection that lasted her entire life. Her love for "The King" was not just a hobby—it was a part of who she was.
Cindy’s joy for life, love of family, unforgettable voice, and unwavering admiration for Elvis Presley will be dearly missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.
A Parlor Service will be held in the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 830 Jones Hill Rd., West Haven Monday morning at 10:00. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in West Haven. Friends may call SUNDAY from 4:00-7:00 PM.
