Obituary: Dennis J. Rapini, 73, Of West Haven

WEST HAVEN, CT — (From West Haven Funeral Home): It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Dennis J. Rapini, 73, of West Haven, on June 27, 2023.

Dennis leaves his wife Linda Kelly Rapini, daughters Sandra Yost and Lori Dugdale, his mother Anne Martone Rapini, sister Janice DeVylder, brothers Albert (Marla) Rapini, Darryl (Audrey Chung-Wing) Rapini, 2 granddaughters Cori (Blake) Howard, Faith (Aaron) Roberson, a great granddaughter Lila Rose, his furbaby Chloe, Linda’s loving family and many nieces and nephews. Dennis was predeceased by his father Albert A. Rapini.

A graduate of Carnegie Mellon, Dennis worked in finance for many years at the West Haven Veterans Hospital until his retirement. Known for his vast knowledge of sports, Dennis enjoyed following horse racing, the Dodgers and the New York Giants. He played golf as much as the weather and life would permit.

Special thank you to Dennis’ daughter Sandra and sister-in-law Kim Kelly whose devoted care brought comfort and courage to both Linda and Dennis throughout this difficult journey.
