Miss Diane Esposito, 53, of West Haven, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2018. Diane leaves behind her best friend Sharon Minnix (the late Joseph), Stacey & Mark Stopa, Joe & Julie Minnix & family, her favorite little buddy Josh and her large and loving Top Hat Family, a.k.a. The Top Hat Tribe.

At the time of her death, Diane was a co-owner of Top Hat Dance Academy. For the past 30 years, she was a member of the Dance Educators of America and judged countless competitions nationwide. As a show manager for I Love Dance, Diane's choreography had been featured in shows from New York City, all the way to Las Vegas!

Locally, she worked with many schools choreographing concert performances and festivals. Her students won numerous awards and accolades in the world of dance, something she was so proud of.

As if dance did not take up enough time, Diane somehow managed to work at Dunkin Donuts, although a coffee drinker, she was not. In addition to dance, Diane had a few other things she was passionate about — the New York Yankees, the music of Adele, late night trips to the casino, strawberry milk and ham and cheese sandwiches. If you asked Diane what the best part of everyday was, she would simply say, "walking into the studio and sharing my love of dance with those amazing kids." She was happiest surrounded by the love of her Top Hat Tribe.
