Obituary: Elizabeth (Betsy) Peters, 82, Of West Haven

WEST HAVEN, CT — (From West Haven Funeral Home): Elizabeth (Betsy) Peters, 82, a lifelong resident of West Haven, passed away at home after a long illness on July 6, 2023. She was predeceased by her husband, Leroy (Skip) Peters, parents Clifford X. Carrignan and Elizabeth Murphy Carrignan, and her brother, Clifford X. Carrignan II.

She is survived by her partner of many years, James Robbins, her loving children, Mary-Beth Murray (John), Kevin Peters and Suzanne Reynolds (David), her two grandchildren, Camden Reynolds and Hansen Reynolds, who were her sunshine, as well as much loved nieces and nephews, and two pampered canine companions.

For many years, Betsy was co-owner of the Nursery School By the Sea in West Haven. She also spent many years working in medical billing. She loved country line dancing and traveling with friends and family. Her greatest joy, and her greatest gift to her family, was spending a week together every summer making lifelong memories.
