Obituary: Frances Ruotolo of West Haven

Frances will be remembered for her generous heart and love of family.

WEST HAVEN, CT — Frances Ruotolo, 84, of West Haven, beloved wife to her devoted husband of 56 years, William Ruotolo, entered into rest on May 12, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Veronica Blackie.

She was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law Janet/Mike Carefeno, as well as brother, Robert Marcus. She is survived by her many beloved nieces and nephews. Frances was born September 6, 1940 in New Haven. She enjoyed her yearly summer vacations to Kennebunkport, ME. She was also a huge fan of the UConn Huskies Women’s Basketball team.

A favorite pastime was visiting Foxwoods Casino with family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Her Life on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, from 12:00 PM at 3:00 PM at La Luna’s Ristorante, 168 North Main St., Branford, CT. To honor her memory, the family requests that donations be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org, a cause close to her heart.
