Obituary: Gail E. Macholl, 63, Of West Haven

WEST HAVEN, CT — (From West Haven Funeral Home): Gail E. Macholl, 63, of West Haven, passed away on July 14, 2022, at Yale New Haven Hospital surrounded by her family.

Born in New Haven on September 30, 1958, a daughter of the late Joseph and Rosemarie (Miller) Piper. Survived by her beloved husband of 40 years, Paul Macholl; loving son Paul Macholl Jr., and daughter Heather (Paolo) Roy; sisters Eileen Piper and Ellen Klakouski; brother Ronald Piper; grandson Tyler Macholl; granddaughters Kayleigh and Kensi Roy; as well as many adored nieces and nephew. Additionally preceded in death by her brother Scott Piper.

Gail was employed by Yale New Haven Hospital for over 22 years, whereby her heartfelt ways were in earnest and unending. Gail’s greatest passion was that of her family, she was happiest spending time with her grandchildren and those whom she loved dearly. She will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, July 18, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. A funeral service will immediately follow, in the funeral parlor, at 7 p.m. Interment will remain private.
