WEST HAVEN, CT — (From Cody-White Funeral Home): James, (Jim, Jimmy, Jimbo, Mumbles) Daniel Nash, 58, of West Haven, beloved companion of Jenn Papke, passed away on June 10, 2023. Born on July 2, 1964 in Milford, CT he was the son of the late Henry John Nash and the late Catherine (Burns) Nash Crowley and her husband, Francis Crowley.
Jim was a graduate of Foran High School 1983, Graduate of Porter and Chester Institute CAD Design.
Jim loved and lived life like he was going to live forever. He loved everyone in his life “as FAMILY.” Jim had a God-given gift of being an artist and saw the world from that lens. He was a handyman/jack of all trades, loved to cook, especially making his Mom’s famous Thanksgiving stuffing and coleslaw, even competing to prove his was the best.

His love of music was a huge part of his life, was an avid Concert goer and loved singing Karaoke where he would make new friends who soon became family to him. He loved The Doors, Johnny Cash and of course Eddy Van Halen / Van Halen were his absolute favorite. He was so proud to use his artistic talents making the banner “The King” he tossed up on stage at VH “Live without a Net Concert,” New Haven, CT 1986! From a very young age of 10 he developed his love for dirt bikes, teaching himself how to take them apart and rebuild in his basement fumes and all. He loved motocross and attending races. He soon graduated to his love of street bikes and riding, proudly loved his Harley, riding for and with family/friends, Laconia bike week in NH was a favorite trip he’d make. He would be the 1st to put together Poker Run, tribute, memorial rides for his beloved friends and twin brother who passed. He looked forward to cold weather to head up north to VT and/or NH for snowmobiling on his “rig” with his buddies.
Jim loved his birth/ hometown Milford, CT. He loved a good meal and boy did he love his chicken wings with extra chunky blue cheese dressing. He had the biggest, kindest, most compassionate heart, loving everyone in his life! He always loved to joke around, making others laugh! His laugh was contagious!
