Obituary: Joanne M. Cooper, 70, Of West Haven
Joanne was a passionate schoolteacher for over 40 years and cherished her students within the classroom all the while.
WEST HAVEN, CT — (From West Haven Funeral Home): Joanne M. Cooper, 70, of West Haven, died on January 14, 2023. Born December 16, 1952, in Queens, New York, a daughter of the late William and Mary (DeRienzo) Dagliere.
Survived by loving children Stacey (Daniel) Alves and Benjamin (Mary) Cooper Jr; three beloved grandchildren Mya, Liliana, and Addison; sisters Denise (Richard) Reed and Andrea (Robert) Felsted; brother William Dagliere Jr.; as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her devoted husband, Benjamin Cooper Sr., for whom her love and care was unending.
Joanne was a passionate schoolteacher for over 40 years and cherished her students within the classroom all the while. Disney World was her favorite place to be, and her interests included shopping as well as visiting various craft fairs with friends and family.

Joanne’s most precious gifts were her grandchildren, her greatest joy was that of becoming a ‘‘Dance Grammie.’’ Watching and cheering her dancing grandchildren was a delight which will forever remain within the hearts of her family.
