Obituary: John Fitzgerald Warakomski, 56, of West Haven
John loved his family, his 3 dogs and his music. "Johnny Mac" performed all over the state and enjoyed singing and playing guitar.

WEST HAVEN, CT - (From Cody-White Funeral Home) John Fitzgerald Warakomski, 56, of West Haven, beloved father of Gabrielle Warakomski and husband of Patricia Warakomski, passed away on July 30, 2020.
Born on December 13, 1963 in Bridgeport, he was the son of James and Cecelia McDonagh) Warakomski and the brother of Seamus, Robert, and Patrick Warakomski.
John loved his family, his 3 dogs (Igor, Tinkerbell, and Boris), and his music. He was a bright light in his family’s lives and on the stage where he was better known as “Johnny Mac.” He sang in multiple choirs in CT, including Saint Mary Church of Milford, starred in theatre performances all across the state, and performed at Carnegie Hall.

John was kind, talented, considerate, and unbelievably funny. He made every person he interacted with smile and his singing soothed our souls. The sound of his music as he played guitar and sang for the family will be missed very dearly every day.
John also leaves behind his nieces and nephew, Cassidy Warakomski, Isabella Warakomski, Amanda Root, and Seamus P. Warakomski; cousins, Maureen and Tony Mazzonna; sisters-in-law, Phyllis and Jennifer; and many extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Patrick Warakomski.

Friends and family may call from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Monday, August 3, 2020 at Saint Mary Church (Precious Blood Parish), 70 Gulf St., Milford. Social distancing and masks will be required
Due to gathering size limitations, a Mass of Christian Burial and interment in St. Mary Cemetery will be private.
