Obituary: Joseph A. DeChello, 56, Of West Haven
An auto parts specialist for local retailers, he was a talented musician, avid reader and a loving, kind, thoughtful man with a huge heart.

WEST HAVEN, CT — (From West Haven Funeral Home): Joseph A. DeChello, 56, passed away suddenly on November 23, 2023. He was born in New Haven, son of John and Mary Keyes DeChello of West Haven.
He was the loving father of Kaitlyn, Kyle, Kevin, and Kacey DeChello all of West Haven, brother of John (Gina Funaro) DeChello of Hamden, Mary (Anthony) Aveni of North Branford, and Jennifer (Paul Panamarenko) DeChello of Hamden, uncle of Patrick (Mirljinda) Aveni, and the mother of his children Nancy DeChello of West Haven. Joseph is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Joseph was raised in West Haven, surrounded by a large and loving family. He graduated from St. Lawrence School and West Haven High School.

For 30 years, Joe was an auto parts specialist for local auto retailers. He was a talented musician, an avid reader, and a loving, kind, and thoughtful man with a huge heart. His family is heartbroken of the loss of a son, brother, father, and uncle.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. A funeral service will commence at the funeral home at noon. Interment will be private.
