Obituary: Linda J. Altvater, 84, Of West Haven
Linda was a graduate of West Haven High School and went on to work for the Armstrong Rubber Co. and later for Miles/Bayer Labs.

WEST HAVEN, CT — (Contributed): Linda J. Wadden-Altvater, 84, of West Haven, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 27 at home with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Walter Altvater for 64 years.
Linda was born in New Haven, Connecticut and was raised and lived in West Haven most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Jack and Evelyn Wadden.
Linda was a graduate of West Haven High School and went on to work for the Armstrong Rubber Co. She worked there until she began her family with Walter when she became a "stay at home Mom."

When the kids were grown, she returned to the work force and was employed by Miles/Bayer Labs until she retired.
Linda loved to garden and keep her house just so. She enjoyed baking and made many pies for her family.

Cake decorating was a favorite of hers and she proudly made all of her daughters' wedding cakes.
She was the mother of Lauren Ferrigno (Sal), Wendy Dalton (Mark), Heidi Aversa (John) and Robin Viani (David). Grand Mother to Nicholas Ferrigno, Mark, Casandra and Walter Dalton. Gabrielle, Heidi and Michael Aversa and Kelsey Viani. She was sister to Robert Wadden (Sharon) and aunt to many nieces and nephews.
At Linda's request, there will be no funeral or memorial services.
