Obituary: Marion K. McDonald, 78, Of West Haven

WEST HAVEN, CT — (From West Haven Funeral Home): Marion K. McDonald, 78, of West Haven, passed away on November 7, 2023. For 43 years, she was the loving wife of James McDonald.

Marion was born in New Haven, daughter of the late Randall and Marion Last Depew. In addition to her husband, she is also survived by her grandson Jason J. Blakeslee, and her siblings Randall Depew and Jeanette Depew. Marion was predeceased by her daughter Karen Blakeslee and her brother James Depew.

For many years Marion was a waitress, but prior to her retirement, she worked as a bookkeeper for Fritz & Hawley.

Marion and Jim loved to attend Doo Wop concerts. She enjoyed her trips to Saratoga Racetrack, Vegas, and any bingo parlor with her husband. Marion and Jim traveled all over for Karen’s dancing recitals and Jason’s hockey games.

Per Marions wishes, all funeral services will be private. West Haven Funeral Home at the Green has been entrusted with arrangements. Donations may be made in her name to either St. Jude Childrens Hospital www.stjude.org or St. Labre Indian School www.stlabre.org.
