Obituary: Mary F. Sabellico, 91, Of West Haven

WEST HAVEN, CT — (From West Haven Funeral Home): Mary F. Sabellico, 91, of West Haven, passed away peacefully at home on July 21, 2022. She was the loving wife of the late Angelo A. Sabellico. Mary was born in New Haven, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Saffioti Gargano.

She is survived by her children, Alexander (Judith) Sabellico of Milford, Deborah (Thomas) Corso of West Haven and Roseann (David) Shore of North Branford, her grandchildren, David (Shari) Shore, Jennifer (David) Noyes, Thomas (Danielle Bonito) Corso, Christopher (Kim) Shore, Amanda Corso and Brian (Anita) Shore. her 7 great grandchildren, and her siblings, Anne D’Acunto and Robert Gargano both of East Haven and Henry “Butch” Gargano of NY.

Mary was a longtime parishioner of Our Lady Victory Church. She volunteered many years at the annual carnival, always making fried dough. Mary always enjoyed an adventurist day of shopping. She loved to travel and take bus trips to the casino. She will always be remembered for her love for cooking for her family at reunions and “Tuesday Night Dinners.”

Mary’s traditional Easter pies and Christmas cookies will be passed on for years to come.
