Obituary: MaryLou J. Leaman, 72, Of West Haven

WEST HAVEN, CT — (From Keenan Funeral Home): On January 1, 2023, MaryLou Ryan Leaman of West Haven, peacefully passed away after a brief illness, with her loving daughters by her side. Born on May 27, 1950 to the late John Joseph and Lillian Theresa Ryan, MaryLou Jacqueline was the oldest of three girls.

After graduating from Stone Academy, MaryLou worked at SNET for many years.

A more loving, and nurturing mother could never be found.

After losing her mother at a young age, family meant everything to MaryLou. She found no greater joy than being with her daughters, grandchildren and sisters.

With a feisty spirit, and a twinkle in her eye, MaryLou was loved by all who knew her.

MaryLou is predeceased by her parents and her beloved husband, Walter H. Leaman. She is survived by daughters Corinne (Donald) Thomas, Melissa (Joseph) Cianciullo and Patricia O’Dea; step-daughter Nancy Leaman; sisters Patricia (Michael) Zaniewski and Maureen (Eric) Frisbie; Grandchildren Cherie, Juliana, Taylor, Ryan, DJ, Jacob, Zander and Tiegan and great-grandchildren Tristan and Lilliana.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Lawrence Church in West Haven, CT on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at 10 a.m. Burial will be private.
