Obituary: Michael J. Lenihan, 81; Formerly Of West Haven
Michael retired from the Bic Corporation in Milford after 37 years of employment. He was always proud of his Irish heritage.

WEST HAVEN, CT — (From Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home): Michael J. Lenihan, 81, of Prospect, passed away October 11, 2023. Born in New Haven on June 20, 1942, he was a son of the late James P. and Elizabeth (Flanagan) Lenihan.
Michael was predeceased by his wife, the love of his life, Kathleen (Kellaher) Lenihan. He is survived by his daughter Kathleen “Kelly” (Anthony) Boni of North Branford; sons Robert A. (Amber) Lenihan of West Haven, Sean K. (Tara) Lenihan of West Haven, James P. (Sue) Lenihan of Hamden, and Michael W. Lenihan of Athena, OR; grandchildren Eric, Alexandra, Erin, Dillon, Olivia and Gavin Lenihan, Michael Behr, Casey Mikelonis, Zachary Falcon and Hunter Boni; great-grandson Vincent Mikelonis; sister Mary B. Bohan; and brothers Jack, James, Edmund and William Lenihan.
Michael was a resident of West Haven for most of his life, moving to Cheshire and later Prospect. He retired in 2002 from the Bic Corporation in Milford after 37 years of employment. Michael was always proud of his Irish heritage. He was a fan of the Red Sox and NY Giants, loved sports cars, and especially time shared with his family.

Friends may visit with his family at Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden on Monday, October 16 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Tuesday at 9 a.m. prior to his Mass of Christian Burial, which will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Paul VI Parish-Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 2819 Whitney Ave., Hamden. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven.
