Obituary: Michael M. Maselli, 34; Formerly Of West Haven

Michael, who grew up playing football in West Haven, worked for Burns Construction Company in Stratford, as a crew foreman.

WEST HAVEN, CT — (From West Haven Funeral Home): Michael M. Maselli, 34, of Middletown, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on April 29, 2024, at Connecticut Hospice, Branford.

Raised in West Haven, he played Pop Warner Football, Varsity Football for Platt Tech and then Nichols College.

Michael was a lifelong Bears fan, an avid Harley Rider and loved working out at the gym. He was a proud member of Local 478 Operating Engineers. Michael was employed by Burns Construction Company in Stratford, as a crew foreman.

The family would like to thank Burns Construction for being so patient, understanding, respectful and kind during this difficult time.

Michael will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and son, who loved to be with his family and friends.

Michael is survived by his loving wife Jennifer Burns Maselli and his cherished son Owen. His parents, Robert and Dorene Maselli of West Haven, his siblings Robert and Kelly Maselli of Seymour, Christina and Sean O’Malley, Jessica and Oscar Guivas all of West Haven, 4 nephews, 3 nieces, numerous Aunts, Uncles, a very large extended family and great friends. He was also the most remarkable son-in-law of William and Cheryl Burns of Hamden.

The hours for visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. His funeral procession will leave the funeral home on Friday morning at 9:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John Vianney Church of St. John XXIII Parish at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
