Obituary: Phyllis Franco Banning, 69, Of West Haven
She devoted her life to her family and friends. She will be deeply and forever missed.

WEST HAVEN, CT — (From West Haven Funeral Home): Phyllis Franco Banning, 69, of West Haven, died unexpectedly on February 19, 2023. She was the beloved wife of Brian F. Banning Sr.
As the matriarch of the family, she leaves her daughter Sandy Ballard, 3 sons Brian F. (Nicole) Banning, William (undecided) Banning and Nicholas (Laura Maresca) Banning. Proud and adored Mema to Julia Ballard, Bria, Brian III, Gianna, Kayden Banning, Adrian Brockenberry and all her fur babies. A daughter of the late Anthony and Lorraine Abel Franco, Phyllis’ siblings include Lorraine Brennan, Angie Bonvini, John, Dominic, Anthony Jr., Ralph, Tony, Nicholas, James, and the late Thomas Franco.
In addition to longtime family friend Barry Evans, “Saint Phyllis” touched the lives of so many people, too numerous to list. She devoted her life to her family and friends, protective and caring, a great listener and making time for those in her circle so that each one felt as if they were the only person who mattered. She will be deeply and forever missed.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, Feb. 25 from 12 noon to 3:30 p.m. at the West Haven Funeral Home at the green. Remembrances will begin at 3:30.
