Obituary: Robert J. Boucher Jr., 75, Of West Haven

WEST HAVEN, CT — (From West Haven Funeral Home): Robert J. Boucher Jr., 75, of West Haven, died on April 4, 2023, at Connecticut Hospice of Branford.

Born in New Haven on August 6, 1947, a son of the late Robert and Anne (Miller) Boucher Sr. Survived by brothers William, Richard, and Randall (Carla) Boucher, all of West Haven, Keith (Susan) Boucher of Hamden, Terryn (Julianne) Boucher of Middletown; as well as sisters Virginia Tierney of Leesburg, Florida, and Nancy (Glenn) Zemina of East Hampton, CT. Additionally predeceased by his brother Timothy Boucher of West Haven.

Bob was a graduate of West Haven High School, class of 1968, whereupon he established a career in food service supply, ultimately retiring in 2013 from the University of Southern Connecticut.

An avid sports enthusiast, Bob was particularly a fan of the New York Yankees and all things Yale Football. His favored pastimes included swimming and traveling by locomotive, whether near or far, as illustrated by his membership of the National Association of Railroad Passengers.

Faith was of utmost importance to Bob, he especially looked forward to the annual excursion held at the Holy Family Retreat House in West Hartford, whereby he dutifully served as past Treasurer of the Retreat League Program.
