Obituary: Ruth Piskura, 72, of West Haven

WEST HAVEN, CT - (From West Haven Funeral Home) Ruth Piskura, age 72 of West Haven, entered into eternal rest on December 13, 2020, at home surrounded by her loving family.

She was the loving wife of the late Philip Piskura. Born in Clarksville, TN on July 11, 1948, Ruth was a daughter of the late Thomas & Mary Nealon Milligan.

Before her retirement, Ruth was employed as a physical therapist at Grime’s Center in New Haven. She was a volunteer at Yale-New Haven Hospital for many years.

Ruth’s family would like to thank the staff at Smilow Cancer Hospital & Beacon Hospice Care for their care and compassion.

Ruth is survived by her children; Matthew Piskura, Thomas (Stacia) Piskura, Ann Piskura, grandchildren; Luke, Sofia, Anna and Evan Piskura, siblings, Marianne (John) Stout, and Thomas Milligan, along with several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on WEDNESDAY (CHANGE DUE TO SNOW) at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Victory Church. Meet Directly at Church.

Interment will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, www.pancan.org.
