Obituary: Ryan P. Smith, 34, Of West Haven
A lifelong Westie and an employee of Alinabal of Milford, Ryan was loved by both family and friends.
WEST HAVEN, CT — (From West Haven Funeral Home): Ryan P. Smith, 34, of West Haven, died of sudden illness on November 2, 2023. Born in New Haven on April 29, 1989, a son of Jeffery and Carrie (O’Hara) Smith.
In addition to his parents, Ryan is survived by his brothers Kevin and Johnathan Smith of West Haven; his brother Nicholas (Abbie) Smith and beloved nephew Maxwell of East Haven; and girlfriend Tracy Hollister of West Haven.
A lifelong Westie and an employee of Alinabal of Milford, Ryan was loved by both family and friends. He was in recovery at AA and has been sober for one year and two months. His sobriety was important to him thanks to his sponsor Joe, Uncle Ray, and his loving family.

Ryan chaired the Monday night AA meeting and cooked breakfast for the Sunday meetings with his girlfriend Tracy.
