Obituary: Salvatore Carrano Jr., 77, Of West Haven
Sal worked 24 years as a machinist for Bilco. He was a member of the Ironworkers, enjoyed spending time with his family and wood working.
WEST HAVEN, CT - (From West Haven Funeral Home): Salvatore Carrano Jr., 77, a lifelong West Haven resident entered into rest on January 2, 2021.
He was the beloved husband of Marie Cordone Carrano. In addition to his wife Marie, Sal leaves his son Salvatore Carrano III and wife Patricia, his daughter Donna Thatcher, granddaughter Carolyn Bittner and husband Daniel, 2 grandchildren and 2 brothers Paul and Robert (Wendy) Carrano.
After 24 years as a machinist, Sal retired from Bilco. He was a member of the Ironworkers local union.

In addition to spending time with his family, Sal enjoyed wood working and reminiscing about Savin Rock.
Visitation will take place on Thursday morning from 9 to 11 at the West Haven Funeral Home at the green. A parlor service will begin at 11.

Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
In accordance with Covid protocol, masks must be worn throughout all services.
