WEST HAVEN, CT — (From Colonial Funeral Home): Samuel Smith Sr., 64, of West Haven, passed away on February 4, 2024. Sam was born on November 27, 1959, to Geraldine Silva and Dock Smith, Jr. in Derby, CT.

Sam graduated from Emmett O’Brien Technical High School in 1977. Sam was formerly employed by Rush Industries as a Computer Technician.

Sam was predeceased by his son, Samuel Smith Jr. (December 16, 2022) Sam is survived by: Mother: Geraldine Silva, Father: Dock Smith, Jr. (Marjorie), Brother: Jeffrey Smith (Veridiana), Sister: Natalie Smith-Crockett (Graylin), Niece: Tatiana Smith, Stepsons: David, Richard and Michael Hebert, Grandchildren: Taijah, Azariah, Tevon and Neyla Smith, Kieara Diaz, Imahni Blanco, Dante and Deanna Hebert.

Hobbies: Softball, Basketball, Coach, Crossword Puzzles, Table Puzzles. Sam was a life-long Superfan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Pirates.
