A proud U.S. Army Veteran, he retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 50 years of service.

WEST HAVEN, CT — (From West Haven Funeral Home): Tony DeFrancesco, 83, formerly of West Haven, entered into rest on November 30, 2022.
Big Tony, as he was affectionately known, retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 50 years of service. He was a letter carrier and supervisor, first at the Brewery Street station and later in the West Haven office. He was a proud U.S. Army Veteran.
New York teams, Yankees and Giants, provided hours of entertainment for Tony, by attending games and in later years watching them on TV. Somehow though, his favorite hockey team was the Boston Bruins!
