Obituary: William J. Casey Jr., 62

William J. Casey Jr., 62, of Hamden, passed away peacefully on February 4th, 2018, in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Bridgeport, CT on May 12, 1955 to Jacqueline Casey Canning and the late William J. Casey Sr. He graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1973 and attended The University of Rhode Island. He was the Operations Manager at Brescome Barton, Inc. where he was employed for 41 years.

William is survived by his son, Scott Casey and his wife Kelly, and his granddaughter Finley; his daughter Caitlyn Majneber and her husband John. He is also survived by his sisters Beth Casey; Lori Greene and her husband Joshua, their children Aidan and Olivia; and Linda Jerolmon. William was a devoted father who enjoyed traveling with his family. William’s family would like to extend a gracious ‘Thank You’ to all of the nurses and staff at Smilow Cancer Hospital for the exceptional care they provided to William.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 8 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Beecher and Bennett Funeral Home, 2300 Whitney Avenue, Hamden. His funeral service will begin at the funeral home at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 9, followed by interment in Centerville Cemetery, Hamden.
