Officer Injured in Crash: West Haven Police

WEST HAVEN, CT — In a 2 p.m. update, police say the area is clear and open to traffic. There was no immediate word on the status of the injured officer.

A police officer was injured in a motor vehicle accident and police are on the scene investigating.

Police say the accident occurred at intersection of West Main Street and Platt Avenue. The accident involved a police vehicle and another vehicle, according to police.

Police are advising motorists to avoid the area as traffic will be heavy until cleared.
