Person Injured In Shooting In West Haven: Police

WEST HAVEN, CT — Police are investigating a shooting at a home in West Haven, according to officials.

Police responded to a house on Peck Avenue near Atwater Street on reports of a person shot.

Police are advising motorists to avoid that area of Peck Avenue.

Preliminary reports indicate one person was shot and suffered injuries that weren’t life-threatening, according to police.

“Our Detective Division will now assume the investigation,” police wrote in a post on Facebook. “We believe this to be an isolated incident with no further threat to the public.

“More information will be provided as it becomes available.”
