Shooting Suspect In Custody After Police Chase In Stratford: West Haven PD

WEST HAVEN, CT — The suspect in a shooting in West Haven on Tuesday morning was taken into custody after a police pursuit in Stratford, police said in an update.

“We would like to thank the Connecticut State Police and Stratford Police for their assistance in locating the suspect vehicle and successfully taking the individual into custody,” police wrote in a post on Facebook.

Police said more information will be released as the investigation continues.

(Original post) WEST HAVEN, CT — One person was hospitalized after being shot Tuesday in West Haven, according to police.

Police are investigating the shooting, which took police on Coleman Street.

The person is being treated at an area hospital for injuries that police said weren’t life-threatening.

Police said the shooting was an isolated incident and there is no further threat to the public.
