Police Investigate Shots Fired in West Haven

West Haven Police responded to a report of a car crash and shots fired on Thursday afternoon. No injuries were reported: BREAKING

WEST HAVEN, CT — West Haven Police are investigating a report of shots fired, possibly from a fleeing vehicle, on Thursday afternoon.

Police responded to a residence on West Spring Street near Greta Street at about 1:30 p.m. on a report of a car crash and shots fired, possibly from a fleeing vehicle.

Arriving officers found evidence of an incident, but it is unknown to what extent, according to police.

“Officers secured the area cleared the residence and occupants of this address fearing injured victims may be inside,” police said in a post on Facebook. “No injuries are reported. Police are interviewing witnesses and as of this time police are investigating and determining the validity and extent of the incident.

“The area is safe for our residents and community. This investigation is continuing and more info will be available when known.”
