Robbery Suspect Sought In West Haven

Police are asking for help identifying a suspect they say robbed a store while implying he had a gun.

WEST HAVEN, CT — West Haven Police are asking for the public’s assistance with identifying a suspect who robbed a 7-Eleven store while implying he had a gun. Police say the robbery occurred at about 10 p.m. on July 7 at the 7-Eleven located at the intersection of Campbell Avenue and First Avenue in West Haven.

The suspect, described as a white male wearing an orange shirt, red shorts and a camo hat, entered the store and walked directly to the counter and passed a note to the clerk, according to police. The note stated he had a gun and wanted money, police said.

Police said the suspect showed something in his waist band to the clerk, who turned over the cash from the register. The suspect immediately left the store and fled on foot with an undetermined amount of money.
