Sale Of Our Lady Of Victory Church Property Awaits Approval
The potential buyer of the 10-acre property in West Haven has been identified, along with the selling price.
WEST HAVEN, CT — The proposed sale of the Our Lady of Victory property on Jones Hill Road is awaiting approval from the Archdiocese, according to church officials. The Christian Fellowship Church of God, currently on Campbell Avenue in West Haven, has offered to buy the 10-acre property, which includes the rectory, church, school and convent, for the $1.85 million listing price.
Our Lady of Victory’s Parish Finance Council “expressed no objection to the offer and then a letter was sent to Archbishop Blair, asking for approval to sell the property,” according to Rev. Kevin M. Dillon, via the church bulletin.
The Archbishop has sent the offer to the following consultative bodies of the Archdiocese, according to Dillon:

- Archdiocesan Finance Council (no objections to the sale)
- The Archdiocesan College of Consultors (no objections)
- The Archdiocesan Pastoral Council (awaiting response at the end of January)
- The Presbyteral Council (awaiting response)
“After Archbishop Blair hears from the above groups, he will make the decision as to whether or not to accept the offer,” Dillon said in the church bulletin.
Dillon said that the Archbishop has expressed “no objections to the offer or our plans to relocate to 300 Captain Thomas Boulevard.”

“Please be assured that all parishioners will be given plenty of time to prepare for the move,” Dillon said. “As a matter of fact, we will need all members of our parish community to emotionally, physically or prayerfully help as we go through this transition.”
