WEST HAVEN, CT — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented times. Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these everyday heroes.

What does the nominee do for work?:
Healthcare but works from home.

Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?
Heather has been working tirelessly to bring joy into this situation. She works with the PTA and is promoting and helping organize fundraisers for WHHS senior class scholarships. She is also helping keep a list of local restaurants and eateries up to date with hours and contact info to help support our cities businesses. In her neighborhood, she hosts social distance happy hours and brings in a local food trucks to help support their businesses. As a committee member for West Haven United, Heather really tries to take the role of volunteering for the good of Westies to heart!

What’s one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?:
Heather has a heart of gold and will go out of her way to help those in need.
